The rank size rule is proven valid to a point, but not too much. Bulawayo is actually almost half the size of Harare which does follow the rank size rule, but after that, there is no correlation. Chitungwiza is about one-fourth the size of Harare and the last two cities, Mutare and Gweru, are much smaller than the rest of the cities. The rank size rule can be seen to a point, but I would not say that the country follows it too closely.
