Demographic Transition Model ParagraphI believe that Japan is currently is in stage five of the demographic transition model. There are numerous evidences that Japan is in this stage including that both the death rate and birth rate are low and the rate of natural increase is negative. Also, the population rate is negative which means it is declining and the life expectancy is way beyond 75 years of age as it is averaging 85 years of age per person. Another final reason is that the fertility rate is below 2 sitting at 1.41 children born per women. In conclusion, Japan is undoubtedly sitting at stage five of the demographic transition model.
